It was Saturday night, and where did the jury spend it? The Ruhrtriennale of course! It was the Konzert in der Jahrhunderthalle, with the hr-Sinfonieorchester. Here we are before doing a few loops on the roundabout...
AHHH WHO DID YOU HIT WITH THE CARRRR???!!
VIP magnet style
and our grand red-carpet entrance
Here's Chumana's drawing of the conductor!!!
On the pause, we went outside. But fall is here - it was cold!!
We talked afterwards to singer Dietrich Henschel, speakers Thomas Thieme and André Jung, a violinist of the orchestra, and dramaturg Stephan Buchberger. The kids mostly had questions about the style of the last piece, Ekklesiastische Aktion (1970) by Bernd Alois Zimmermann - why did they move and sing the way they did?
Then... evaluations...
and snacks of course!
